WHERE IN THE WORLD IS THE MEXICAN GRAND PRIX? IT’S IN GUADALAJARA – DOES THAT HELP?

Or, as we call it in Los Angeles, el Campeonato Mundial de Motocross de Mexico
  


The next FIM Motocross Grand Prix, round four, will be held at the Motodromo Nico Espana venue in the Tlajomulco de Zuniga Jalisco region near Guadalajara, Mexico. on May 13. Guadalajara is Mexico's second biggest city with a population of 1,564,514. The FIM sent Greg Atkins to design a new track, the diagram is shown below.



Concerns about drug cartel violence are often overstated, but by the same token actual crime numbers in Mexico are under-reported. Most insiders believe that Guadalajara is much safer than many Mexican towns. However, the U.S. State Department did issue a crime and safety report last year that mentions gun battles, AK-47s and hand grenades in Guadalajara, but did not issue a “no travel warning.” You can read it below...
