2011 MOTOCROSS SIGNING NEWS: DAVI MILLSAPS TO GO TO JGR YAMAHA

Although it isn’t an official press release, Davi released the news through Chad Reed’s favorite form of communication

Davi is a proven Supercross winner and that is something that most of the riders looking for jobs this season can't say. Davi isn't looking for work anymore.

Although the motocross world is rife with rumors about who is going where, it isn't official until the signer and signee agree on a press release. For example, we know that Pro Circuit built a Honda CRF450 engine for Chad Reed, which means that Reed might be planning on racing a Honda, but we also know that a Team Honda spokesman told us that "Reed doesn't fit our program"—so is Reed going to Honda? Or just going to ride a Honda? What we do know is that Davi Millsaps is going to Joe Gibbs Racing. How do we know? He tweeted it this morning (punctuation added for clarity).

“JGR.” (about 4 hours ago via Twitter for iPhone).

“That wasn't a press release. lol. I just said that so you guys that follow me would know and sorry I don't tweet much. I will try to more." (about 2 hours ago via Twitter for iPhone)
