2012 MTA WORLD TWO-STROKE CHAMPIONSHIP PHOTO GALLERY

Mark Chilson's personal shots from Sunday's race at Glen Helen

Michael Leib won both motos on a 2002 Honda CR250 sponsored by Race SoCal.

2011 World Two-Stroke Champion Austin Howell wanted to back up his rep as the fastest two-smoke rider in the country, but it was not to be.

This crash jammed Austin Howell's shift lever into the ground and bent a shift fork.

Michael Sleeter broke out a 2012 KTM 250SX and finished second overall. He had originally planned to race a 150SX, but one look at the size and number of hills and he knew that idea was doomed.

MXA's Billy Musgrave finished fourth overall in the Pro class on MXA's KTM 250SX (with Showa suspension, Pro Circuit pipe and Dick's Racing carb mod).

Vince Friese had the speed to match everyone but Leib. But he was DQ'ed.

TM fielded a big team and like any good team they stuck together...on and off the track. Kris Palm (127) and Justin Jones (742) demonstrate.

Aussie Dan Alamangos shows how to roost a KTM 150SX out of a sandy turn. When Dan wasn't racing, he was shooting photos, which can be seen in the race story.

Ryan Surratt (51), son of former 125 West Champion Willy Surratt, won the 250 Intermediates and the Open Intermediates. Ryan says that he will stay on a two-stroke for Loretta Lynn.

Willy Musgrave elected not to race the Pro class, we assume because of advancing age, but he won both the Over-30 and Over-40 Experts on a KTM 300XC.
