German GP rider Max Nagl has been a KTM factory rider for five years, but that is where it ends. Nagl says that KTM told him that they will not be signing him for 2013. Nagl has not raced a GP so far in 2012 because of a back injury and surgery, but raced a German ADAC race the past weekend and may raced the Latvia GP this weekend. His place at KTM was filled by Ken DeDycker, but it is doubtful that DeDycker will be at KTM in 2013 either.

Max Nagl said, “I was totally surprised by the news. Nevertheless, I would like to thank KTM for the past five years in the factory team. It was a great time with ups and downs and of course my wonderful success, the vice-championship title 2009.”
