ASK THE MXPERTS: 2004 SUZUKI RM250?

My Brother Gave Me His 2004 Suzuki RM250, What Can I Do To Make It Work Better?

Dear MXA,
My brother got stationed in Korea and he gave me his 2004 Suzuki RM250. He was a goon and never touched a dial on the bike. What should I do to get it working better?

    Here is MXA’s hit list:

   (1) Leave the gearing alone, it's perfect.

   (2) Set the forks compression clicker on 10 out and the rebound on 13.

   (3) On the rear shock set the low-speed compression (the screwdriver slot) on 10 clicks out, the high-speed (the hex-head nut) on 1-3/4 turns out and the rebound (on the bottom) on 12 clicks out.

   (4) We ran a 162 main, 48 pilot and optional NEDJ needle (in the second clip from the top).
