ASK THE MXPERTS: CAN I RUN TORCO EVEN THOUGH THE SPEC IS VP?

The guy who built my engine told me that I must run VP C12 fuel, can I run Torco 110 instead?
   Dear MXA,
I have an 2003 YZ125 that has been bored to 134cc. as well as having the compression raised. The guy who built my engine told me that I must run VP C12 fuel. VP is hard to come by where I live, but there is a gas station near my wife's work that sells Torco 110 out of the pump. Will that work?

Yes. When you had the compression raised you painted yourself into the race gas corner (in trade for more power). As long as you run high-octane fuel, your bike won’t care what the label is on the pump.
