ASK THE MXPERTS: VIBRATING HANDLEBARS?

Can Household Sealing Foam Cut Down On Vibration If Sprayed Into My Handlebars?

Dear MXA,
Is it true that you can spray household sealing foam, the kind used for insulation, into your handlebars to reduce vibration?

No. In our tests, filling the bars with foam or silicone did nothing (and if you think about the high-frequency nature of vibrations, you can see that lightweight foam or silicone-style putty would have no effect on these waves)
