CONGRATS! 2010 REM GLEN HELEN TOP TEN IN POINTS IS ANNOUNCED

This is the longest points paying series in motocross; it takes 40 races to win the Glen Helen crown

Dennis Boulware becomes the first four-time Champion in REM's 25 year history.

Even with over ten tracks within a two-hour drive in SoCal, there are very few weekly race series left anymore because most of the SoCal tracks are practice tracks. Not so with REM—REM only holds races and they hold them virtually every weekend of the year. It has the longest series, best run races and offers the most fun.

Glen Helen Raceway’s REM race series is the longest point-paying race series in the USA. With almost 40 races on its schedule, the consistency and durability of its racers are sorely tested over the long haul.

Since KTM makes the most different models (150SX, 250SX, 250SXF, 300SX, 350SXF and 450SXF), it seems that magazine test riders are always on KTM's. Here, Dirt Bike's Ron Lawson (88) chases MXA's George Kohler (81) in a orange duel. Lawson ended the year ninth in points, while three-time Champion Kohler was fifth.

Speedway racer Randy Skinner ended the 40 races in seventh overall.

Points are kept for every racer at Glen Helen’s weekly motocross races and the final points totals for the 2010 season has been released—last year’s Glen Helen Champion Dennis Boulware won again. This is Boulware’s fourth Glen Helen REM number 1 plate (George Kohler has three titles). It is also the second year in a row that 1998 Champion Jody Weisel has finished second to Boulware. Out of top ten for 2010, there were four former Champions (Boulware, Weisel, Kohler and Randy Skinner).

The 2011 season starts on Sunday, January 2. For more info go to www.remsatmx.com

Nathan Cernicky made Glen Helen's top three for 2010.

You have to ride hard to earn points, but you can't afford to make mistakes. Injuries in 2010 hurt the points totals for REM regulars Randall Fout (946) and Mark Hall.

Tom White, of White Brothers fame, was vying for the top three until he went on vacation and, by the time he came back, he had dropped to sixth overall for the year. The points are that close.
