STARTING POINT: “I got a two-week temp position at Kawasaki. I knew
right away that I fit in, and I wanted to stay. I was super persistent
about calling human resources, and after a few weeks, an executive
assistant position in marketing opened up. It wasn’t my calling, but I
got my foot in the door, showed my work ethic and started riding on my
own...I think they noticed. I was hand-selected by Jan Plessner when
this job position was created.”
THE JOB: “For press intros, I do anything from travel arrangements to ground transportation to collaborations on press kits. Porta-potties are probably the low of my job, but we try to make everything seamless. The best part of the job is definitely getting to ride. Recently, I got to do a photo shoot so we can have some generic shots of female riders. A couple weeks before that, we were out on jet skis.”
