STARTING POINT: “I joined Pirelli 12 years ago. I was a student and
wrote a thesis on Pirelli. During the last three months before I
finished my schoolwork, I was asked to join Pirelli. For sure, I was
very proud. I was very passionate about motorbikes, cars—everything that
has an engine for a heart was my passion since I was a child. So, I am a
company man.”
THE JOB: “I do product development with the products that are used in rally, motocross and enduro competitions. When Pirelli decides to make a new product, the marketing division sets the requirements, and I choose the best way to develop a new tread, new construction and tooling to industrialize the different tire sizes. The development work is finished when the tire is in production and we have a quality green light on the product. We use the racetrack as a proving ground, and it’s very rewarding.”
