FUEL TV IS DEAD... WILL IT BE BURIED OR TURNED INTO ANOTHER NASCAR CHANNEL?

Fuel is going to be absorbed into a multi-channel sports network with Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2

Fox announced its intention to launch Fox Sports 1, an all-sports network to challenge ESPN by this August. The channel will carry NASCAR races, Major League Baseball, college basketball and football, soccer and UFC fights, as well as talking head shows. Fox1 and Fox 2 Fox will compete with eight ESPN cable channels and sports channels from NBC, CBS, the Big Ten, the Pacific-12, Major League Baseball, the National Football League and National Hockey League.

Fox plans to convert Speed into Fox Sports 1 and Fuel into Fox Sports 2. Fuel TV has never been able to prove the viability for its skateboard and surf programming and, on August 17, 2013, it will disappear. No word on any plans to air motocross programming as of yet.
