get a cheaper used bike to learn on. used KTM 200 or KDX 200 will haul you easliy, be very light and more forgiving and easier to correct. Have all your falls/spills on the used bike. I wouldnt be afraid of a yz125 to start out, you'll definitely learn good clutch control with a 125 and it's super light, 06 or newer can be had for cheap. See where your at after 1-2 yrs on one of them. If you get good then move up to a 250xcw or yz250 dont start there tho, start light and smaller
