WHAT IS IT? With the stock air valves on the 2013–’14 KX450F and
CRF450 PSF air forks, it is difficult to access the Schrader valves to
put air in the forks. Even worse, with the stock forks you can’t always
run oversize handlebars or move your bars forward without blocking the
valves, which would mean removing the handlebars to check the fork’s air
pressure. Works Connection designed a set of swiveling air valves that
make it easy to put air in the Kayaba PSF forks.

WHAT STANDS OUT?
Here’s a list of things that stand out with the Works Connection EZ Fill valves.
Although Honda and Kawasaki use the same basic PSF forks, they came up with their own ideas about where to position the Schrader valves. Both locations require removing the front number-plate strap to get to the air valves, and the Kawasaki requires a special adapter that has to be installed before air can be introduced into the system. Since both Honda and Kawasaki recommend checking the air pressure before every day’s ride, the ability to get to the air valves is critical. Plus, between motos, you may want to add or subtract air for performance reasons. Because the EZ Fill’s Schrader valves rotate, they can be aimed in any direction to make it easier to thread the pump head on. Additionally, the EZ Fill eliminates the need for KX450F owners to install the adapter to check the air pressure.
No problem. We recommend bleeding all the air out of the forks before you start, but on the KX450F, it’s not necessary. After that, it is a simple remove-and-replace job.
The EZ Fill makes it possible to run any bar in any position. If you want to run the handlebars in the forward position, all you have to do is rotate the forks to put the EZ Fill at the back of the triple clamps.
The EZ Fill valves are made from brass. While this raises the cost, it ensures that the threads and fittings will last forever.
Before the engineers at Works Connection developed the EZ Fill system, they worked on designing a two-into-one crossover system. To lessen the risk of one leak flattening both forks, they envisioned separate shutoff valves for each cap. They also did a cost analysis, however, and realized that a fail-safe crossover system would be very expensive. So, they decided to go with two easy-to-use valves instead of just one.
WHAT’S THE SQUAWK?
You should swivel the EZ Fill air valves out of harm’s way after using them.
Better than stock and easier to use. It’s not as easy to use as a two-into-one crossover system, but it’s safer. The Works Connection EZ Fill checks all the boxes.
