ITALIAN MOTOCROSS GRAND PRIX RESULTS: DO YOU REALLY NEED TO LOOK AT THE RESULTS TO GUESS WHO WON?

What setting for a race as the 250 class blast off.

Tony Cairoli and Jeffrey Herlings did the same-old same-old again in what is quickly becoming a predictable World Championships series.

Tony Cairoli was unchallenged in moto one as Gautier Paulin held off Clement Desalle for second. In moto two Caiorli had it even easier as Clement Desalle and David Philippaerts went down in turn two. Cairoli’s teammate, Ken De Dycker, rode the entire race comfortably in second putting a 20-second gap on the third place rider Max Nagl.

In the 250 race, KTM’s Jordi Tixier took the holeshot and led for the first half of the moto, but Jeffrey Helrings was waiting in the wings and moved to the front to win the first moto with Jordi Tixier second and Christophe Charlier third. In the second 250 moto Jose Butron got the holeshot followed by Dean Ferris and Jake Nicholls. This threesome only lasted until Jeffrey Herlings closed in on them on lap three. Herlings soon took the lead and pulled away. Butron was second and Ferris third.
