STARTING POINT: “My brother used to race, and after my brother stopped,
my nephew Grant Langston started racing. Once Grant started racing, our
lives were all about following him around the world with his racing
career, which led to racing with KTM in Europe and then coming over to
America.”
THE JOB: “My main responsibility for the KTM offroad team is to make sure that the race engines are ready for the race, and that they get there and get back to be rebuilt. After every round, the top-ends are rebuilt. At every other round, we do a complete teardown. Between building the race engines, we try to find more power and torque. One minute I’m building an engine, the next I’m machining parts, and then in the dyno room testing the finished product.”
